Moving On Up!

Callie moved up to the big girl daycare because she is now 18 months old. She is really liking daycare now and the little girl in this picture is her new bestie! Denise told me they always sit together and hold hands on the way out to the playground and they have similar fashion tastes because they have the same gold shoes. They also have the same dark curly hair that is usually in pig tails. Isn't that cute? Callie is so funny, when you go to pick her up she is so overcome with excitement that we all love to go get her. She sees you, her eyes light up and she instantly points to her bag and begins waving, saying "bye" to everyone. She stands at the door and yells "mommy" until I quit talking to her teacher and load her up in the car. Cade also started at the daycare this summer because he is on summer break from his school program. We were very spoiled this year by the wonderful program he was in and daycare is an adjustment because it isn't catered perfectly to his needs. After a rough first day and plenty of anxiety on my part, it has turned out to be an all right fit for him. He likes it of course and his teacher is liking him. He is a lot more work than she is used to but she is being a really good sport, even doing his water through the feeding tube. He is in the 2 year old room because it is more developmentally appropriate for him. He does miss riding the bus and his morning routine but we are forming a new one, one that starts much later thank goodness!
