Christmas PJs

My parents decided to buy all of the kids matching Christmas PJs every thanksgiving. This year they all got these snugly footed sleepers. Bryson was enjoying his in Kansas when we took these pics.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year, as always, I am most thankful for these kiddos. Callie is thankful for a family to love on.
Tyler and Shane are thankful that they have each other to start drinking with way too early in the morning. We are all thankful for the cooks.
and Cade is thankful for friends like David Doss.
If nothing else, this year reminded us that moments like this are not forever. We have all learned to appreciate the little things. Remember to thank God for everyday on this earth and enjoy your family and friends every opportunity you get. We hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and we pray everyone can appreciate their many blessings!

My Callie Girl

She has to copy everything I do! It makes getting dressed very time consuming.

Two Peas in A Pod

Or should I say Grandma's gardening cart? I was in charge of entertaining the kids while my mom and sister cooked Thanksgiving lunch. They still don't let me help. And then, evidently, Em was already cleaned up for dinner and me allowing her to play in a dirty wagon wasn't what her mommy was wanting. How was I to know?

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas...

Grandma made the mistake of taking Callie to Home Depot (Callie's second favorite store, of course it's behind Target) and letting her help pick the outdoor Christmas decorations. I think she left with more than she intended. It looks like the Griswolds live here...
And Callie fell in love with Frosty last year. Every now and again throughout the year she would get to look up in the attic and see Frosty. You can only imagine her excitement when we finally got him back out. Lately, she has been a little disappointed in Cade as he broke one of Frosty's arms off.

Orange Leaf

After the lighting, we went to Orange Leaf, the new frozen yogurt place in town. You can mix any flavors and add whatever toppings you like. The kids are always up for ice cream but I think they liked these little chairs and tables best.

Of course these two preggos are why we went there.

Tree Lighting at The Plaza

We went with Grandma, Amy, Em and Shana to the tree lighting downtown...

We made it just in time for the countdown...

And then, much to the kids surprise, the whole circle and courthouse light up!

And Michael was Santa's police escort. Cade was excited to see him on his bike. Callie kept yelling "It's Santa, It's Santa!"

I love all these Christmas traditions!

It's Butter Braid Season

And Grandpa is so fortunate to have 2 little helpers.
The funniest is when he is counting out loud when sorting orders and Callie starts counting loud too "seventeen, fifteen, nine, ten, nineteen." Grandpa doesn't think it's funny, or helpful.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

The kids have been to many birthday parties lately so they know the song and the candles and the whole bit. Of course they had to help Grandma with hers.

They were so excited to give her a Tosimo coffee maker and all the fixings.

And I just love this picture of Tyler. He has so much patience for my children. Gotta love him!

Ranch Rodeo

Paul gave us some box tickets to take the kids to a ranch style rodeo. There were old chuck wagons and stew and cornbread for dinner. It was cute and the kids really enjoyed the rodeo.
And Callie's friend Payton came too. They were sneaking in a few kisses.

Wurstfest- Round 2

This time with the kids... and much less beer. Callie liked the pork chop on a stick just like her momma. Cade likes just about anything. The girls can't sit still when they hear music. Here they are doing the polka.
Callie was watching the dance floor and thinking she could do that.
So I helped them do the chicken dance and some ompa ompa song.

Shane was lucky enough to ride the roller coaster this year.
And we rode the Ferris Wheel. Callie was excited to be up so high and she saw our church and would do a quick "fader son holy spirit men."

And there is Cade's good friend Opa Doss
Shane won Callie a "wizard"
We found Grandma, Grandpa, TyTy and some of our other favorite Omas and Opas in the Spaus house.
And Shane got to see some old buddies too.
There was a round 3 but sorry, no pictures. I think you get the idea. We sure do love this time of year!
