FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!

I loved school when I was growing up. I loved picking out my first day outfit, buying all my school supplies, homework, all of it... I just loved school. I always thought it was fun. I may have been a nerd but all these memories have made me so excited for Cade. When I got his school supply list I went right to the store to get him the best stuff (my mom always made me get the cheap stuff, not as bright or as many colors, etc.) He got to start today because he turned three yesterday and as soon as you turn three you are eligible for school. We had his first meeting with all of his teachers, therapists, school officials, school nurse and developed a plan for Cade's education and we filled them in on where he is at and how far he has come. They do such amazing things in his class. I feel this is going to be a very positive experience for Cade and I feel he is in a really good place.Wake Up!!! 6:30 AM Cade has mastered climbing out of his bed so I had to race in with my camera to snap this pic.
Bath- Don't want to be the smelly kid in class...
Feeding the Kitty... I still have to do my chores.
Callie says "bye Cade!!! Have a good first day at school, I will miss you" she cries because she wants to go and we tell her she is just a little teapot and will get to go someday.
Cade's Dad and Mom and Grandma Char and Papa Banks escorted him to school his first morning. Of course we were running late so I didn't get all the pics I wanted.
He wouldn't give me a nice smile for his first day. He was having trouble walking with his backpack on. He kept falling down.
Some of Cade's teachers. There are 8 children in Cade's class including him that have disabilities of varying degrees and 8 children that are typically developing and there for pre school. They have reported very good things from having this mix of children for both the typical and non typical deveoping kids. There are 4 teachers to this group of 16. They have their hands full!
This is Ms. Tate explaining to Cade it is time for breakfast. I think we embarrased him because we stayed too long and he wouldn't give us kisses just waved bye. He was excited though, not sure what to think.
Here he is in line in the cafeteria. You can see him just inside the door entrance.
Cade is already making friends. This little boy came up and gave Cade a kiss right away. It was adorable. Cade got a good report from his first day. He did all his centers well and did lots of exploring. He got a good note in his calendar.
(Charlin if you have better pics, e-mail them to me please!)
