Visiting Amy at Work

Unfortunately, Amy had to work Monday and Tuesday so she missed out on the beach trips. She wasn't too sad about it. We got to meet some of Amy's middle school students and we have a new respect for her.

Spring Break!!!!

Cade is having a great time in Panama City. Today we went to Mexico Beach with cousins Cassie and Marissa and with aunts Tori and Taylor. The sun was a little bright but Cade handled it very well and loved his tent. He also loved the sand and wanted to touch it all the time (that is why he isn't looking in any of the pictures). We will be here all week. More to come!

What a Messy Eater!

After Cade's jaw surgery, we laid off on the foods by mouth because he was in pain. So when we started again he didn't do very good and the therapist told me to let him try anything. He loves to eat now and he eats yogurt (seen here), mashed potatoes, refried beans, baby foods, licorice, slim jims, banana cookies and I have started trying to give him liquids in a cup. He is doing pretty good.

Thanks Uncle Travis!

Uncle Travis spent two whole days of his three day vacation sitting in the hospital with Cade this week so I could go to school and Shane could work. Thank you so much Travis. Also thanks to Robyn, Beth, Sarah, Mom and Dad who also sat with Cade for us. We really appreciate it! When he is in the hospital, it is really hard to be there with him at all times. Cade came home Friday and is not quite 100% but he is getting there.

When Cade go his Pins Out

Haley went with me when Cade got his pins out and we thought the file they placed on his bed was lots of kids files but it turns out that it was all his. And you know what is sad, he has only been at this hospital since he was 9 months old.

Cade is in the hospital... again

We took Cade to the hospital last Saturday because he was working very hard to breathe. It turns out that he has a viral infection and he was having an asthma attack. He was admitted and is still working hard to breathe. He is in the PICU but should move to the floor today. He is sleeping a lot and is grumpy when he wakes up because he hates his breathing treatments. I got him to smile a couple of times but not until I got out the camera. And the doctors put little fatty on his first diet. We are really cutting back on his calories.

We aren't supposed to let him watch TV but whatever works. He sits the best when focusing on the TV. He is still a little wobbly but he is getting much better.
