So he has to be bathed often. This is not easy because Cade is becoming very active and he wants to play in the water. However, we have to be really careful to not get water in his trach. We can't wait for the day when we can let him have a good time in the bathtub.

Cade Got His Pins Out...

Cade got his pins out last week. His two holes on his chin that have lots of healing to do. We can tell that his jaw hurts because he doesn't like to close his mouth or swallow. His cheeks are puffed out and his jaw looks big because inside his mouth he still has plates and bars screwed into his jaw that can be felt when you touch his cheeks. He will get everything out in two months. We have also begun conditioning him in preparation of getting his trach out. We put a one way valve on it several times a day to teach him to breathe through his nose and mouth. We will see the ENT next Monday to find out more about that.
