It was a wonderful service to celebrate Grandpa's life. My Uncle Todd did the Eulogy and he did a great job. Colson was fussy during it so I had to take him out so sadly I missed some of it. :(

There is Nothing Quite Like Family

When you lose a beloved family member, there is nothing like having an amazing family to go through it with. We always have a good time together, in good times and bad. I love my big family!

We found out when we got home that Colson had an ear infection. That explained the unusual fussiness!

 Sandy and Pat were so nice to put us up when we were in Iowa for the funeral. Aiden and Mason were so sweet with Colson. They loved having him around and helping me take care of him.

Goodbye Grandpa Dutch!

 My Grandpa Dutch was always a special man to me. He was a little rough around the edges but we always knew he loved us, even if he had a tough time verbalizing it. No one could make me laugh like him and he could make a joke about anything. He left a piece of himself here on Earth in my dad. They have very similar sense of humors and the same little giggle. He was always so incredibly sweet and caring about my children. I miss him already!

 Callie was originally supposed to be the turkey but she was really weird and shy about it and refused to do it. So unlike her! She ended up being a cute little indian instead.
